The overall situation prevailing in Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) is distended with violent incidents of militancy and armed conflict over past few years making FATA as the most insurgent region across the country. The escalating militancy has led the tribal people to get displaced in large masses to IDP camps or host communities. Keeping in view the intensifying issue of IDPs, FATA Research Centre held a seminar on the Issues of Internally displaced persons (IDPs) titled “IDPs in FATA: Issues and Challenges” on 30th April, 2013 in Islamabad.
