CTD arrests two TTP militants
LAHORE: The Counter-Terrorism Department arrested two members of banned militant organisation Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) on Walton Road. LAHORE: Law enforcement agencies have identified a new militant network, an offshoot of the banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), as the group responsible for Monday`s attack on Lahore`s Ferozepur Road. Parachinar’s Security Handed Over To Pak-Army
Kurram Agency: Security of Parachinar city has been handed over to the Pakistan Army after recently terror attacks in which left more than 74 people were dead and around 300 injured. According to political administration, security of the violence hit city was handed over to the army on the demands of local elders. Khyber Agency: Security at Torkham have been put on high alert after intelligence agencies report about possible terror attacks in Landikotal. According to notification issued by the political administration the intelligence agencies have traced a telephone call of unknown alleged militant from Mardan in which he is instructing his colleagues to enter explosives laden truck in Landikotal. ECP reserves verdict on Imran`s plea on jurisdiction
ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) reserved judgment on Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan`s application questioning the commission`s jurisdiction to hear a contempt petition, filed against him by a party dissident. Third phase of Khanpur Dam water supply project starts next month
RAWALPINDI: The Rawalpindi Cantonment Board (RCB) will be starting the Khanpur Dam Water Supply Project Phase III next month and the federal government has promised to release Rs190 million for the project in a week or two. Worth Rs700 million, the Khanpur Dam Water Supply Project Phase III was started in 2010 but work was not completed due to shortage of funds. Work on the project was stopped in 2015. New school to be set up in Khyber Agency
Khyber Agency: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Iqbal Zafar Jhagra approved establishment of a new educational institution in the name of Khyber Public School and College in Khyber Agency. The institution will function as a semi-autonomous body and governor in his exofficio capacity will be chairman of the board of governor of the school while the additional chief secretary Fata will act as its member amongst others, said an official statement. Last Phase Of South Waziristan TDPs Begin Today
South Waziristan Agency: The final phase of repatriation of temporarily displaced persons (TDPs) of the South Waziristan Agency resumed 25th July 2017 which will continue till August 5.
