(Kurram Agency, May 2, 2012): Labour Day was observed in Kurram Agency with great appreciation for the labor in the area by the Awami National Party (ANP) with the collaboration of local tribal elders, FRC correspondent said.
According to the details the political cum tribal elders’ procession was started from Kashmir Chowk (Kashmir roundabout) to Shaheed Park, Parachinar. The procession was lead by the leaders of ANP accompanied by the local tribal elders. Dhol (drum) was beaten in a traditional local style where people chanted the slogans in favour of labor rights.
Leaders of ANP including Abdullah Jan, Sabir Bangash, Imran Tori and Nosh Bangash addressed the large gathering and said that the problems of laborers were increasing day by day but there were no valid solutions of their problems from the government side.
The speakers promised the local laborers easy life style by solving their problems. The tribal elders and local people appreciated their appearance of political leadership for the cause of local people as such appearance of the leaders was very rare in past.
